Lee Fairclough

Lee Fairclough is a proud 22-year resident of Etobicoke—Lakeshore, where she and her husband are raising their two boys. She believes in the power of strong public services to build healthy, equitable, and thriving communities. With over 25 years of leadership in healthcare, she has dedicated her career to improving lives—starting as a radiation therapist at Princess Margaret Hospital and later leading major initiatives at both the provincial and federal levels.

As President of St. Mary’s General Hospital, Lee guided her team through the unprecedented challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, working with public health, local businesses, and community leaders to protect vulnerable populations. Her experiences during this time reinforced her commitment to responsible policy and the critical role of teamwork in driving progress.

A former competitive athlete and member of Canada’s Women’s Rugby Team at the 1998 World Cup, Lee’s leadership is rooted in resilience and collaboration. With a master’s degree in health policy and her role as an adjunct professor at the University of Toronto, she blends academic expertise with hands-on experience to bring innovative solutions to complex problems.

Deeply connected to her community, Lee has volunteered with local organizations, supported her children’s activities, and gained a firsthand understanding of the challenges faced by families and aging parents. She is motivated by a vision of a brighter future for Etobicoke—Lakeshore, where everyone has access to the care, education, and opportunities they deserve.
